Photography exhibition. Opens 24th October and runs through until 17th November 2020.
Award winning photographer Brent Hollow since an early age has never been far from a camera. He has a voracious appetite for photographic styles, types, topics and mediums. This exhibition will reflect Hollow’s eclectic approach to his art showcasing an exciting variety of work, from black and white through vivid colours, landscapes, wildlife, abstract and portraits.
Brent first picked up a camera in 1984. A background in Zoology, work as a Paramedic and Rescue Technician and in Disaster Management has contributed to an interest in conservation, wildlife and nature photography, photographing people, street photography and weddings.
With his work garnering a number of accolades and awards and work published in magazines including ”Wilderness Magazine”, this will be a popular exhibition.
Brent Hollow said “I’ve been working toward this exhibition for 30 years and most of the images are on show for the first time. It features 36 works from 7 countries taken over the last 15 years through my lens. I hope you enjoy them and find the beauty, humour and social commentary interesting.”
Central Stories Manager, Brian Budd said “it is important for us to present a variety of exhibitions and to that end featuring the works of Brent Hollow achieves that aim. We are very much looking forward to having Brent’s works hung in the Art Gallery and sharing Brent’s talent with the public of Central Otago and beyond.”
“Exploring Light” opens at Central Stories Museum and Art Gallery, 21 Centennial Avenue, Alexandra on 24th October and runs through until 17th November.
